Hiker With Abdominal Pain on the Minaret Creek Trail

The Team was called at 2111 hours for a mutual aid request from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office for a report of a female with abdominal pain who was unable to continue her exit. It was reported that the subject was approximately 3 miles up the Minaret Creek Trail.

Rescue base was established at Minaret Vista, and Operations deployed several teams to Devil’s Postpile trailhead to make entry, contact the subject, assess them, and ultimately evacuate them from the backcountry. Just after arriving at Devil’s Postpile trailhead, the subject was at their vehicle and declined medical evaluation. Operation terminated at ?
