Juvenile With Fever at Cotton Lake (Fresno County) — Thursday, July 9th, 26-330, Op #26

Mono SAR responded for mutual aid to a report of a 12-year-old experiencing fever and a rapid heart rate approximately 12.5 miles up the McGee Pass Trail near Cotton Lake in Fresno County. A hasty medical team deployed from the McGee Creek Trailhead while a second team stood by with additional medical equipment and a litter. Before ground teams reached the subject, CHP H-42 evacuated the patient to Mammoth Hospital, where they were transferred to a waiting ambulance. Ground teams were recalled, and the operation concluded without further incident.
